Foreword:

Like turmeric honey, cinnamon honey is a natural remedy used in traditional medicine since time immemorial, particularly in Ayurvedic medicine, but also in many traditional medicines. Indeed, its incredible action results from the interaction of two products at the top of natural remedies:

Cinnamon:

known as “poor man’s insulin”, princess of Ayurvedic medicine, best hope for curing diabetes, cholesterol and other diseases, in short, one of the best foods for health there is.

 Honey:

a remedy for all ills in Muslim prophetic medicine, one of the best natural antibiotics, it has always been used for treatment, and yet science is still discovering new uses of honey for treatment.

Of course, no remedy or natural treatment will replace the informed advice of a doctor, consult him before embarking on a cure.

The health benefits of cinnamon honey

Combining cinnamon and honey is a way to increase their health benefits. Click here to find out what the health benefits of cinnamon are.

Cinnamon honey helps you lose weight. We're talking about just one teaspoon per day of course, if you take the jar of honey it won't help you! Cinnamon honey accelerates metabolism, burns sugars in the body, while reducing stress and anxiety with its calming and relaxing effects.

Also, cinnamon helps reduce blood sugar and cholesterol in the blood. As a result, it strengthens the heart, regulates the heart rate and reduces the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases (heart attacks, heart attacks, stroke, etc.).

It revitalizes arteries and veins that lose flexibility and become clogged as we age.

Cinnamon mixed with honey helps boost your immune system. Both products are recognized as incredible natural antibiotics! In addition, with their warming properties, this spicy honey helps prevent and cure all winter ailments and illnesses caused by viruses or bacteria (flus and colds).

Its antibiotic properties, combined with its anti-inflammatory properties, make it possible to effectively treat sore throats. Use it to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, aphonia, dysphonia, etc.

A blend of two natural products with exceptional anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, cinnamon honey helps relieve, and even treat in the long term, pain linked to rheumatism, osteoarthritis, arthritis, and other degenerative diseases. A study from the University of Copenhagen showed that with a tablespoon of honey and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder per day, 36% of patients felt relief after a week and almost all patients after a month.

Its anti-inflammatory properties help relieve toothache when applied externally.

Cinnamon honey is a wonderful aphrodisiac. In fact, both products help stimulate the libido of men and women! This mixture helps stimulate digestion, and fight against all digestive problems: bloating, cramps, constipation, gastric acidity, etc.

It is a tonic mixture which helps fight against states of fatigue by giving energy and revitalizing the body, but also helps to relieve states of anxiety, stress and insomnia, particularly in combination with lemon.

A study on elderly people showed that taking 1/2 tablespoon of honey and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder allowed elderly people to be more alert and more flexible, with results after a week of treatment.

Its excellent antioxidant properties help improve general health by fighting free radicals which directly attack the DNA of cells and cause premature aging. It helps fight urinary infections.

In fact, 2 tablespoons of cinnamon powder and 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water help destroy germs in the bladder.

Cinnamon honey helps fight bad breath. You will have noticed the appearance of many chewing gums with cinnamon, even those that are mint, it's not for nothing! It is an ideal remedy for skin problems: acne, pimples, blackheads, eczema, etc. Honey has been used as a healing mask since the dawn of time and cinnamon is known for its antioxidant properties.

In addition to repairing skin damage, it contributes to the general health of the skin. Its healing properties are beneficial for relieving stomach ulcers.

It seems that a hair mask with honey and cinnamon helps fight against hair loss (baldness).

What products should you use?

There is honey and honey, as there is cinnamon and cinnamon.

Honey:

We recommend using organic honey, produced by a small local producer, this is the best way to be sure of the quality of the honey.

In fact, many honeys sold in supermarkets and on the internet are mixed with sugar, which, in addition to diluting the benefits of honey, adds the harmful effects of sugar for health.

We also recommend using raw honey that has not been cooked at high temperatures.

This is a common practice so that the honey remains liquid without hardening.

 Cinnamon

The big question when using cinnamon is: which one to choose? In fact, there are two varieties, which come from the bark of two very similar but different species of trees:

Cinnamomum verum, known as Ceylon cinnamon, also known as real cinnamon,

Cinnamomum aromaticum or Cinnamomum cassia, known as Indonesian or Chinese cinnamon, also known as false cinnamon.

Let's be clear: to lower blood sugar and cholesterol, the variety doesn't matter, they have the same effect.

That said, for long-term use, we still recommend Ceylon cinnamon.

In fact, their health benefits are the same, with one exception which makes all the difference: coumarin.

It is in fact the coumarin concentration that differs in the two species. Ceylon cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum) contains almost none, but on the other hand, Chinese cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum cassia) is rich in it.

Except that coumarin is potentially toxic to the liver, because it has hepatotoxic properties. So for long-term consumption, prefer Ceylon cinnamon.

How to take this remedy?

Some say the typical dosage is one tablespoon per day, 1 teaspoon for children. That really seems like a lot to me, I would say more like a large teaspoon for adults, 1/2 teaspoon for children.

These are two pleasant ingredients to eat if you like them, so you can eat this dose directly in the morning on an empty stomach. For those who don't like to eat it directly, you can dilute cinnamon honey in a drink: in water, fruit juice, milk, tea, coffee, yogurt.

To make a mouthwash, in order to have good breath, dilute a teaspoon of cinnamon and honey in a glass of water and rinse your mouth with it.

To make a skin mask, mix 3 parts of honey with 1 part of cinnamon powder, and apply this treatment to pimples or blackheads before sleeping. The next day, rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Repeat the treatment every day for 2 weeks, until the imperfections disappear.

Do not include it in your cooking, because the heat will reduce its effect on the body.

Precautions

We recommend that you always seek the advice of your doctor before starting any treatment or cure, as natural products can cause an interaction with certain medications.

Excessive consumption of cinnamon can cause side effects: increased heart rate, increased blood pressure and palpitations.

If you use Indonesian cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia), do not exceed 1/2 teaspoon per day. The coumarin present in this variety is an anticoagulant, be careful if you are under anticoagulant treatment.

Rarer, coumarin, in large quantities and over long-term consumption can cause liver damage.

Excessive consumption of honey (more than 10 tablespoons per day!) can cause stomach cramps, constipation, diarrhea, bloating, increased blood sugar levels and low blood pressure.

This cinnamon honey is not recommended for children under 2 years old and pregnant women, not due to contraindication, but as a precautionary principle.
